Аfter a surgery with anesthesia I started getting panic attacks when i wаs 16 years old . Doctors gave me a Clonazepam and antidepresant to treat panic disorder. So they treat me like that until last year. In every few years I was changing antidepresant but Clonazepam remained. The maximum dose that was reached was 2mg per day. Once there it was internet and a lot more information i was able to understand that Klonazepama caused addiction. So I tappered down to 1 mg, with option to take more when in need.

1 year and 2 months ago I stoped taking Klonazepam. To help withdraw Doctors gave me Lyrica/Pregabalin/ and Quetiapine.

14 months after i am off,  I am suffering all the time 24/7 extrasystoles. I do not know whether this is due to stoping clonazepam or it is sideeffect of the new drugs or it is  entirely new thing some heart problem....

Hi  :) Welcome to BenzoBuddies!

I am glad you found us today. I would say that anytime you have concerns about your heart that you should discuss it with your doctor. What I can tell you is that I see members here with heart palpitations.

You might like to check out The Ashton Manual it is an authoritative source on what to expect in withdrawal and recovery.  Dr. Ashton is an expert in the field.

Please feel free to post to any of the dedicated boards, we have a wonderful community of people here, who will give sound advice. Members have been through all aspects of benzodiazepine use and withdrawal and are more than willing to share their experiences.

Members discuss their symptoms on the Post withdrawal recovery support.

Please take the time to Create a Signature.  This will allow others to see where you are in the process so they can better support you.

Again Welcome!  :smitten:
