Will Cymbalta Make Akathisia and Other Withdrawal Symptoms Worse?

So I'm off the benzos but far from okay.  I was on Lorazepam along with Cymbalta for many years.  Now I'm left with Cymbalta alone.  Does anyone know if this will slow down my healing due to how it works on serotonin and norepinephrine ?  I tried weaning off after the jump from benzos but it was ugly!  I had to go back to usual dose.  I'm having every CNS symptom in the book and probably some new ones no one ever imagined.  I can barely deal with the idea that how I'm feeling now could last a year or more.  If I'm extending the healing process by being on Cymbalta, I want to know asap so I can speak to my doctors about it intelligently and come up with a plan.  HELP PLEASE and THANK YOU!

Hey Meep...

Were u on cymbalta when u did your big L-pam cuts?

I have written a bit about my experiences with cymbalta on this board around and after xmas...

-i think it interacts with benzos and i treat it like a strong benzo cross speed... i find it extreemly addictive mentaly, with days of physical w/d from just 2x 75mg in one day... i am 99% sure that i could cross over from V to cymbalta no prob... and i dont mean that in a good way...

I took cymbalta  for nerve damage post accident, -pre vallium, -with no issue at all... -same for the similar gabapentin (GPN)... But then i was on huge doses of opiates... so what was or is for me, may not be close to the same for you... most (not all) of my Drs dont think lyrica is addictive... -im sure they will soon...

Im wondering how much you are stuck on?? -and if its worth looking at crossing over to GPN to taper off... other than that i would consider valium to taper off...  And this just sounds crazy... I only say it because as bad as the valium is to taper, i personally (in my situation) couldnd begin to imagine tapering of lyrica... But others i have talked to havnt been hit so bad... so Please dont let this freak you out... But i would have felt bad saying nothing...

Best wishes, and sing out if any questions...
