Excessive thirst and saliva anyone?

Does anyone have excessive thirst and also excessive saliva?  I've had every test in the book all fine. I know before withdrawal benzos always made me thirsty but this is like unquenchable thirst. And need to spit a lot. Anyone else have this?

Indeed I do have the same odd symptoms and they seem to come and go for no reason.

I looked up in past posts and apparently unquenchable thirst is extremely common. Found some things about the saliva.

If you're drinking enough it's most likely you should eat a bit more, especially foods containing salt. I find the same happens to me and it's when I'm low on food.

The thirst thing isn't bad though, keep drinking :P

wouldn't the salt make me more thirsty? I know I need to replenish my potassium from peeing so much from drinking so much. Sorry too much information

Yes....Yes...Yes...I drink close to 100oz of water a day for some reason and I still feel like I can't quench my thirst. It only happens when my SXS are at an all time high. Then once things settle down It goes away. I count it as a positive SXS if there is such a thing!

hi Ann, I know I drink water non stop!  I see on your signature you started a milk titration and stopped. Did you have a bad experience with it? I'm considering using milk for the rest of my taper. Thank you Nicole

Hope,

Fwiw, i have the exact opposite... and its no fun... but it was caused by a medication mess pre benzo...

but thinking back, what u describe came first, and had i stopped those meds then, i suspect it would have ended fine...

I can't say that I did have a bad experience because:

1) When I started I was no wear near stable

2) I went way to fast!!!

The only thing I didn't like was the refrigeration aspect!

I'm currently trying vodka/water titration. I'm still trying to figure out what is going to work best for me!

Hugs!

Ann

yes I've made some huge mistakes too! As soon as I become a little more stable I'm going to try the milk, but just terrified because everyone says uptick of symptoms when crossing to liquid. Did you experience that? I'm obsessively worrying about it. I'm glad you have your plan, and are making progress! Hugs nicole

Oh yes, I could not go anywhere without my bottle of water. Lots of saliva too. It does get better.

yes I'm buying cases of water like crazy. I'm glad to hear it gets better! Thank you clona!

Yes I feel like I got "ran over by a large truck" but...I've never held for more then 16 day! Once again I think I'm going faster then my body can recover! I am going to hold until I see my doctor in 16 days and go from there. I've dropped from 10mgV to 6.5mgV in roughly 4 months.....ouch!!! Can't tell if it's from the liquid or going to fast. IMO go as slooow as you need to!

Hugs

Ann  :)

wow! Yes you may be going faster than you can recover. The very first day you drank the liquid did you feel different? Did you hold when you started the liquid or start cutting right away? I hear you're supposed to get adjusted to liquid before cutting. Hugs nicole :)

I started cutting right away and I think it caught up to me. I didn't feel any different until

Day 16 and then everything exploded. I went faster then my body can recover and now I'm playing catch up! I'm trying to stabilize right now!
