Body Is a 'Skin Suit' With no 'Me' Inside...What is My Brain Doing? Anyone Know?

[Me...]

Recommended Posts

I say this with zero drama...just fact.  I feel dead inside and almost wish I were actually dead.  Except there is still a tiny piece of hope keeping me going.  Quick recap..20+ years on Lorazepam at highest daily dose of 12mg. 'Jumped' on Nov. 8, 2016.

I have far too many post taper symptoms to bore everyone with.  I believe I could take some comfort if I understood (better) what it is (exactly) that is happening to my brain and body.  I'm not living my life.  I'm simply existing from day-to-day and I'm finding this increasingly unacceptable.  I am working closely with a therapist and my new Naturopathic doctors.  We are still in the investigatory stages of what I am experiencing and possible options for treating the discomfort.  Please.  Anyone here who can tell me what my body and brain are doing would go a long way to allaying my concerns.  Thank YOU in advance...

I jumped a few weeks after you in November.  I can absolutely relate to the feeling you describe.  It's frustrating and annoying and, yes, pisses me off.  I want to feel connected to life, my body, again.  Please share your journey with your naturopathic doctor.  Everything you learn can help another.

Thank you, ReDoingMe!  Right this minute, I have a business appointment coming and I am too emotional to be professional.  My brain feels so foggy and dim that I can barely process information around me.  Things that used to be simple are so very difficult.  And I'm losing my will to deal.

I am working today, as well, but from home.  Fighting the fog.

Cheers to you, Bonaventure!  This is exactly what I needed. THANK YOU!  I've printed it up so I can read it over and over because I will forget what I've read as fast as I consume it... But there it will be, at my fingertips to reassure me.
