Jumped from Xanax!

I jumped January 31st and wanted to give it a week or so before posting.  I'm doing great!!  This has not been a hard journey for me.  I started my taper a year ago January 25.  My first cut was a big one, from 2 mg to 1 mg.  I found BB and went back up to 1.5 mg after learning the first cut was too big.  I read so much on here and was scared to death of the process.  I am one of the lucky ones....no problems at all.  My last cuts were bigger than recommended but I wasn't having any problems so I maintained the pace.  I did long holds while life was happening and not wanting to get hit.

I want to Thank BB for all the information provided.  Who knows what could have happened if I hadn't found this forum.  I want to tell people this can be done, hang in there. Don't push yourself, this isn't a race!  Also, if you are suffering, please make certain it's benzo related and not something else.  Don't put all health issues on withdrawal.  I know someone who did this and ended up not benzo related.

Good luck to all  :smitten::thumbsup:

Thanks BRC  :smitten:

Yes, I am very lucky in some regards.  In regards to the benzos, yes.  That being said, it's been said that just a minority of the people on benzos make it to forums such as this.  I don't want anyone reading this is be scared in any way.  This forum is great but not so much for the person not suffering.  I understand that people don't post often when not suffering and that's a shame.  Everyone tapering from benzos deserves to be welcomed.

Yes, I am indeed blessed

The majority of people who withdraw have few problems, at least the first time around. It is often a different story for subsequent withdrawals. However, those that get off easily are usually not the ones that find their way here. Most find us by "googling" their symptoms. However, everyone is welcome here!  :smitten:
