Question for the ladies!

It seems like the last two months my SXS have intensified the week before my period. Then I gradually get better after day 2 or so of my period. I don't know if it's because my cuts happened to  hit me at just the wrong time in my cycle or if my hormones are playing a role in my Symptoms intensifying. I started a micro daily liquid titration on Jan 15 and my period started on Jan 16 and then by Jan 19 I was feeling much better until Feb 3. Now my SXS have come back "a little". Hopefully I don't get worse. My period is not due until around FEB 11. Has anyone else had there SXS increase around the week before their period and the subside after it started?

That's a topic discussed on the Klonopin Klub a lot. Or you can try Chewing for that question. Good luck as I no longer have that problem.

I've read many posts from women saying that they also noticed an uptick in symptoms (sometimes more than just an uptick) during their cycles or from pregnancy.

Ann73,

Yes, this happens to me and to several of us women here. Under support groups there is the menstrual support group. You might want to check it out. Progesterone is known to work on the same receptors as benzos. So a drop in progesterone would then make your body realize that some of the benzo is missing. Hence withdrawal kicks in. At least that is the theory. I am sorry you experience this as well. The support group allows us to vent. We welcome you there anytime. Peace to you.

I'm experiencing this as well. Talking next week to a doc about progesteron as the matter of fact. She does progesteron treatment.  But reading here that that affects the same thing as benzo? Would it do me harm to start a progesteron treatment? It's possible my problems originated because of low progesteron after pregnancy and then the start of benzo's made my trouble worse instead of better. Sorry if I'm rambling a bit. My window ended and In a wave since last night xD
