Need help tapering from Frisium (Clobazam)

I am currently taking 5 mg (1/2 of 10 mg tablet) every other day. Doctor suggested going down to every 3 days which I did for a 12 day period but could not function so went back to every other day. One other suggestion so far is to cut the tablet in quarter and maintain that every other day. Another suggestion was over a two week period to lower the total mgs taken for that time. So maybe 5 mg, then 2.5, then back up to 5 etc to reduce it. The next two week period throw in each week a 2.5 dose so the total mg is reduced again over a two week period, and continue that way.

 

Frisium only comes as a 10 mg tablet. I dont know if I can find a scale where I live to be able to do the titration.

 

Anyone has tapered off of clobazam? How did you do it and what was your experince? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can order a scale on line. There are plenty of sites that sell them. Ebay and Amazon are both good places to find one. The recommended reduction rate is 5 to 10 percent every two weeks.
