Weight loss?

Has anyone successfully lost weight while on K or tapering? I eat pretty good but I've been stuck at the same weight for a year. And I'd really just like to lose a little weight so I can feel healthier.

I gained a TON of weight while on K. And I hardly EVER ate, honestly. Which was my problem. When I started making myself eat breakfast (ie - 2 boiled eggs) an early snack, a light lunch, an afternoon snack and then a sensible dinner, I started losing weight, even though I was eating WAY more food than I was before I started losing.

Some days I had to MAKE myself eat - but again, I think it charged up my metabolism, which I think the K had basically killed. When I jumped, I DID go through the dreaded "not eating anything" and ended up having to force feed myself. I think it was a combo of having not eaten much ON Klonopin, having no hunger, no taste & smell and then my metabolism switching over to TURBO once I jumped. I lost about 25 lbs in 5 weeks. But felt like I was DYING.

I'm back up to my "pre-jump" weight now (and this started before I reinstated) but I'm once again following the 3 healthy meals plus 2 healthy snacks per day and am slowly (and healthily) starting to lose again. I've also started walking.

But yeah, I'm convinced Klonopin (and the resulting sloth/laziness it caused me) totally caused me to gain weight. Just keep trying - eventually your metabolism should "wake up" - especially as you taper lower. (but again - be AWARE when you notice your metabolism increasing, and make sure to adjust your food intake so that you are eating ENOUGH!)
