hydroxyzine(Vistaril, Atarax) During Direct Ativan Taper

So my Normal Doctor Gave me Vistaril To help during my Direct Taper off Ativan 2 mgs, Im down to 1 mg(so halfway through). They said it wont Affect the taper proccess or have any side effects of being addictive. Does anyone have any experience with it? I don't trust Doctors or Psychiatrists after mine basically just cut me off my taper and is making me Taper way quicker then comfortable, so if anyone has any personal experience on taking this during an Ativan Taper or Benzo Taper in general, Feedback would be Lovely !

Many of us have tried both...two days ago I tried the Atarax and it didn't really help and tonight I took 25 mg of Vistaril and am suddenly wired and wide awake!  There is no chemical reason that I could find that would cause it to interfere with Benzo discontinuation..another med many have used successfully in low dose is Mirtazepine/Remeron.
