Hi there,

I am joining BenzoBuddies because I am trying to get off Klonopin. I have gotten off of many drugs in my past, but this one has absolutely been the hardest. I am also stopping my use of Xanax and Temazepam. I took those infrequently, however I have been on a varied dose of Klonopin since I was 14 years old, which was 15 years ago. I was taking 6 mg per day but managed down to 4. I am now trying to get off the drug completely. It is so difficult as it has been part of my life for so long. I don't have much support except my parents, but they have never used, or been prescribed any drugs that alter brain chemistry. They don't have much to offer in terms of advice although their encouragement is great.

I am glad you found us today. The recommended reduction rate is 5 to 10 percent every two weeks.
