I am currently tapering off clonazepam and need as much support, information, and advice as possible.  I started my taper on 12/20/16 going from 2mg p/d to 1.5mg per day.  On 1/2/17 I tapered down 0.5mg to 1mg p/d.  I am still holding at 1mg as I am having a number of possible withdrawal side-effects.  I started taking xanax as needed for panic disorder I the mid 1980's?  I only took a dose when I felt an panic attach coming on.  Then in 2013 I started taking xanax regularly for sleep.  I switched to 2mg p/d clonazepam on 5/12/15, and have taken it regularly since then.

I am so happy you found us today. The recommended reduction rate is 5 to 10 percent every two weeks.
