Symptoms

Hi,

I've been thinking and wondering.

I read many places here that you can have symptoms for a year or more after finished taper of Valium (or any benzo for that case).

But i cannot seem to read whether the symptoms stay as hard all the time or if they get better in time.

It seems almost unbearable thinking of having the worst symptoms all the time for a whole year.

I am struggling with bad physical symptoms.

The last days have been extremely hard with numbness, muscle twitching and aches and lots of pins and needle sensations.

These are mainly in my feet and legs, but yesterday i had them almost all over my body.

I have been known to take rescue doses sometimes and i know this messes things up,

but sometimes the struggle just seems to hard to handle.

How bad are the rescue doses if you keep them on a low level ?

I'm looking for a variety of answers, not just good and not just bad.

Hope for some replies.

Going for an MR in an hour to make sure these symptoms do not have a physical cause.

Thank you for listening.

I think there might be others who can answer your questions better then me but in my opinion rescue dosing is not making it any easier. Your brain needs to heal, I think that process is taking longer and is harder when you are using rescuedose. But that is just my experience.  I also think that progress cam take a while but it crawls in quit sneaky. So it would be wise to keep a log. Wish you all the best.

I think if u taper slow, allowing your body to heal well as u go, then all will be much better. AND u wont need to rescue dose!!!

Have a thought as to how u will measure those last few mg...

the only reasonable way i can see is a daily micro taper, probably liquid...

That is realy hard to answer. Use ur rescue dosing history as a guide, and your sx... It may take a week or so.

It seems getting to a somewhat stable place and daily tapering works best, but im unsure how many people can find acceptable releif from an updose? -it seems rather individual...

But some that dont find relief, say that they improve as they very slowly taper from the updose point.

This is just what i have picked up from reading posts, others might have more personal experiences when they come online later...

Hang in there, there is a way forward....
