Feel like callling it quits

[Re...]

Recommended Posts

I am in so much pain and have been the past few days. Feel so sick and tired, like I could throw up everywhere . Nothing seems to be improving I just wanna quit this whole process of recovery and give up. I Hardley slept at all last night and the past few days. The pain is never ending and it's easily ten o the pain scale . Feels like I am back into acute or something. Need some hope right now cause I am all tapped out.

Thanks

Remy

Sorry you are suffering so much right now Remy.  Are you able to do or take anything to help take the edge off the pain?  Are you getting any windows to help give you some relief?  You are in my thoughts-please don't give up.

Thanks burned out, i do get windows from the pain but not my other symptoms . I was supposed to go to the dentist right now but I just canceled my appointment , my blood pressure and heart rate are going nuts. Everytime I stand up I feel I am going to pass out . I can't do anything right now, not even watch my own daughter

Hi Remy,

I have been where you are. You have to hang in there because it will get better. You will sleep when you need to.

We are here for you.

Remy, what are your worst symptoms right now, what time of pain do you have?

I understand insomnia comes and goes as well.

I been getting a severe shooting pain in my left cheekbone and lower jaw. Also my dr/dp have become so crazy I don't even feel I am in my own body anymore. It's like a acid trip but with none of the fun parts. Also extreme nasua ,where I feel I am gonna hurl but I never do. The shooting pain is what is killing me though it has been relentless yeh it's not constant but it's frequent enough. Aslo can't stand up without feeling I am gonna pass out , especially if I pick something up off the ground I get extremely lightheaded.

I'm worried I'm gonna have this shooting pain for a while or I am gonna have to take antibiotics which is my biggest fear . The shooting pain keeps me up at night and also wakes me in the middle of the night . I fell asleep in pain then woke up two hours later in even more pain. I am sure not sleeping is contributing a lot to the increase in dr/dp

I too battled nausea  here and there. prob not as bad but still. i found that CBD helped with it a lot, and ginger.  did you try CBD yet? that might help with lots of those pain and nausea.

I think there is one kind of antibiotics to avoid, from ashton:

An exception is quinolone antibiotics which displace benzodiazepines from their binding sites and should not be taken by patients on, or recently on, benzodiazepines.

Do you find that you clench or grind your teeth?  I had TMJ and it was made worse by the benzo withdrawal.  Got a mouth guard made and it helps a lot.  I found that CBD and ginger are helpful for pain and nausea like locutusOFborg said, too.

Hey buddy, now its me to give YOU hope.

My first ideas were:

- this will end. It will end, too. Like many many other scaring symptoms, diseases, enemies on our way. Its only temporarily for sure. You know that. It has happened before.

- get a doctor check your ears, teeth and paranasal sinus. If there is really an infection, take the antibiotic. I took 3 antibiotics and survived it. You never know if that will really make WD symptoms worse, and if - return to point 1. only temporarily.

- If you don't have an infection, I would really like you to see in an osteopathic treatment. Its amazing, how much can be solved with tender hands, that know which trigger points need to be relaxed.

- Try to relax. I had that form of pain when I grinded with my teeth in the nights. A little relaxation before sleeping makes it better.

- Practice this litte movement!:  You wrote you are not sleeping - that makes the grinding teeth worse - so this fits, I think. Here is a little thing you can do to relax your face and jaw: Open your mouth a little bit and then very fast close your mouth and open it again, 10 times (your teeth are not allowed to touch each other, its an easy movement and makes you think "nak-nak-nak-nak", very slightly, without pressure or tension. Like opening and closing the eyes very quickly  8) With these little movements the muscles of the jaw relax. You should do that one time per hour the next days. After a while you will recognize that you can open your mouth a little bit more, and your facial muscles are more relaxed.

- if teeth grinding is a huge problem get some braces or retainer which help to relax the jaw.

- what helped me a lot is a hot liver sleve before sleeping or relaxing. It makes tired and gets aggression and tension out of your system. Send me a pm, if you don't know how to do it. The liver sleeve can also help against nausea.

- Try not to hunger, eat a little bit every 2 hours, that keeps your stomach on a level and nausea will not get so bad

- Did you ever try bitter teas like chicory root tea? The bitter teas make you feel less exhausted and are good against nausea

I know you will go through this - and it will get better. Please try the nac-nac-nac movements ;) they saved my life!!

Hugs,

Marigold

Hang in there Remy!!

When I was where you are (months 8/9) I was my WORST. Absolutely wanted out. But, in Month 9 something lifted... I wasn't better, but I think it's when I truly began to heal.

I started working again at 12 months and exercising at 16. I'm doing more and more.

The change for the better could be RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER  :smitten:

Marigold- thanks so much for those tips on jaw clenching/teeth grinding. - mine has gotten really bad lately and I have been trying to figure out a way to lessen that- to relax more . I know I am doing it even in the daytime but I can't find a way to stop.  I am going to try your suggestions - the nak nak nak  one and the relaxation before bed to see if that helps. The timing of your hints is great as I was starting to feel a little desperate  for  some relief.

THanks for all the tips and support everyone. It means a lot to me. I really could not face today with any kind of grace or just at all. I spent the whole day in bed, hopefullly tommorow I can sort this all out with my dentist . Wish I could have forced myself to go in today but I just couldn't do it. The pain has come back really bad right now. A tooth started hurting as well so now I am wondering if perhaps this is all related to a abscess tooth .

Everytime I think things might be getting better during recovery they go from bad to worse overnight. I know many of you have the same experience , hopefully the end of this come sooner than later for all of us .

Thanks again

Remy

Marigold, thanks from me too for those tips, I'm definitely going to try the nak-nak-nak every hour, I've already started doing it!   I'm very curious also about the hot liver sleeve.  Do tell.

remy, dont panic - you will be alright. I had trigeminus problems, I had facial nerv problems - all left me again.

You are safe, you can hear what they say and decide then. Don't hesitate to take a pain-killer, again I tell you, this won't mess up the whole wd thing.

I am thinking of you, fingers are crossed - you will be fine, buddy!

Remy,

I went to the ER many times too. Don't be hard on yourself. Do whatever you have to get through the pain right now.

Just had a root canal done. I'm still in so much pain. They gave me pain killers  and ibuprofen 800 if the pain doesn't let up I may end up taking them. I have been taking acetaminophen but haven't tried ibuprofen, I am scared these pills will rev up my symptoms .thanks everyone

This month has been a Challange of my current mental state . First I had a best friend die who I was closer to then my own family. Then I have this excruciating pain and health scare going on. I bring this up to say to others who may be suffering from similar experiences. We can handle Amy situation regardless of how withdrawel effects Us. Though our minds may telll us otherwise

Last night was the first time I actually considered taking a benzo to get through this rough patch. Surprisingly I was able to stay completely present during my dentist fiasco today and avoided all panic or anxiety. I suppose it's more easy to be mindful when you have such a powerful sensation to focus on.

I still cannot believe the pain I was in last night I thought I was gonna have a seizure or heart attack. My body was having wild tremors , jerking all over. It was so scary . I still have fear swimming around within me and will until this issue is resolved entirely. This was definitely one of my hardest moment so far I have faced . I am so grateful for the people on the website and the people in my life who have been there for me through this.

Don't fear the ibuprofen. I took them during my taper and acute WD. I never got that "revved up" sensation that our nervous systems are so know for.

You're a survivor

Remy, I did take ibuprofen without problems, really. Take it if you need it.

This afternoon I noticed a new big helper: My loved coconut oil (organic) for my teeth problem. I did an oil pulling cure. It helped to get my mouth into a healthy ph-level again, took away the bad taste and helped against the pain. It also gets out the poison your dentist needs to work to inject and fill and so on. Besides: Your teeth will get as white as snow. DONT swallow the oil.

Take at least 1 Teaspoon coconut oil, put it in your mouth, move it there, smack it between the teeth - at least 7 minutes. After that spit all out, rinse a lot with semi hot water (not hot, not cold) and after that brush your teeth with a basic tooth paste.

really really helped me - perhaps its a lucky coincident and can help you too?

You may google about it. I prefer coconut oil or very very good native olive oil.

HUG!!!

Hey remy.. I was where you were not too long ago so i completely understand.. Feeling like your on an acid trip.. Insomnia. . Stress intolerance..

You just have to hold on and focus on the finish line. I cant remember anything helping me when i would go days without sleep. Its inhumane. .

The only advice i can give is to take hot showers and try to focus on tasks rather than giving worry and fear any attention.

Take care

I am going to write something and then I am going to exit this site and never come here again--and good riddance--I am 68 years old --I was treated by a doctor that I thought was a top doc here in my area and who supposedly cared about me--and I took 2mg of clonazapem for over 8 years--I know how I was really crazy and he screwed me and I almost died--but now I am in withdrawal with an amazing doctor and he says I am one of the bravest people he has ever seen because I am so ready to die but instead I am fighting to live and I walk a couple of hours a day and I am living and doing and trying  go get mg life back from what the doctors screwed me out of---

but I am to delete this site off of my radar--those of you who took a benzo for six weeksn--you need to get a life--I know these drugs are poison--but get your 15 minutes of fame someplace else---  my doctor almost killed me  but he did not--but if you took a benzo for 8 weeks please do not come here for you 15 minutes of fame--

this is a place for people in pain. I am so frigging sick but lstening to so many of you who simply have no guts an d no glory--please get a life

I cannot do with all of you whining

Bye for always
