Does gabapentin at bedtime only 300mg delay healing from benzos?

I have been on 300mg gabapentin bedtime only for 6 yrs. I am 62 months off xanax. Is gabapentin slowing down my recovery?

I can't say for sure, but I believe it does. I needed to be on gabapentin to ease my klonopin withdrawal but I think as it affects the CNS it impeded other aspects of my recovery. Just an opinion.

I have been on Gabapentin since my detox  three years ago.  At a year out I considered myself 90 percent healed, but never improved past that point. Sometimes I wonder if it because I take the Gabapentin and Remeron.  Unfortunately i have found it very difficult to taper either.

Yep. Stories like yours is why I wanted to get off the gabapentin and refused remeron. I believe substitute one medication for another for a long period of time just delays healing, even though it may make you think you feel better.
