Bright blood from rectum ( ahhmmm sorry)

Sorry for this kinda private post, this has happened me 2- 3 times since jump. Mostly it happens when I'm in a wave with much stress and anxiety, I'm also often bad in my stomach when I'm stressed.

Well it happens after walking the dog I kind a feel a itching behind down there, and when I come home I go to toilet and check why it's itching and there's this bright red blood, today more than else.

It really upsets me because I had a really bad cramps in my stomach this night. And I'm conserned like all of us that this is something really serious. :'(

Are you sure it's not a hemmoroid?  Hemmoroids can itch and bleed.  All my life I never had hemmoroids but a few months ago for some reason I got a bad one and that's exactly what happened it would itch and bleed bright red...and it bled alot...i would dab toilet paper there and it would be soaked with blood.  If you have the diarrhea it could definitely irritate a hemmoroid and make it bleed.  I just put some preparation H on it and it cleared up in a few days.  A doctor told me that bright red blood comes from closer to the surface of your skin like a hemorrhoid would be and that dark or black blood is where concern would be.  But if its really bad and you're concerned, you might want to consult a doctor.

Thank u so much for your answer, I think you're right, I just googled hemmoroid and it seems like it's matching my symptoms. And what u describe about the toilet paper, it's just like what I exsperienced today.

I think the heavy stomach pain this night was because I ate some sugar biscuits for the first time since my jump.

I have an appointment with my doc in 3 weeks. I'll make sure she checks it out.

My very first reaction came from being a nurse since 1969 and I totally agree with BrunetteS and your own follow up post....Benzos affect the gastro-intestinal tract in so many ways, add in our change in diet, activity, and hydration and you have a perfect storm for irregularities..and of course seeing blood where there shouldn't be any is very scary indeed!!!!

I think you're right, and we are in a state where our brains are making horror out of every little different thing that happens to us, it's sooo annoying and draining on our minds.

Also I've had continuesly diarrhea and constipation on and of since my jump, and it probably affects everything.

I have a similar story to your Elbette - I tend to have a bowel movement first thing after getting up in the morning, then shower and walk the dog, my bottom itches and when I get home there are traces of blood.  I have also had a prolapsed hemorrhoid recently which got better on its own after a few weeks.  I have had a few other symptoms of gastro type things since stopping z drugs, ie heartburn and GERD.

Oh yes, most definitely - as I just posted on another thread - my agoraphobic feelings are much less.  I do still have stiffness and joint pain, but I'm hoping these will ease.  My anxiety is much less than it was when I was on zopiclone.

I'm 3 months out in 3 days, and it has been manageable, I've had one biiig insomnia anxiety wave 2 months ago, between that I've had small ok waves, now in currently in wave a little similar to the first one, same symptoms but not as heavy as last time, but still tough.

I'm glad you're feeling progress, it gives me hope

Very likely an internal hemmeroid. I get it occasionally. The bright red lets you know it is likely where internal hemmeroids are. Pretty common issue. Good luck. If you're worried, get checked. I did just do piece of mind (this was well before benzos for me)

Sounds like you have a hemorrhoid or anal fissure. I was surprised when I had both during taper. Lots of sitting can aggravate; many things can. Stress and tensing can cause it, a completely unconscious process down there. You could try dietary mods of more fiber if you can handle it. Other BBs have done self treatment of their end tract by applying pure coconut oil. It not only soothes but is antibactrerial. Then there is over the counter stuff. If you are concerned about the amount of blood, you might get it checked out if it continues to be a problem. In the grand scheme of things this is likely nothing to be overly concerned about.

You should probably see your doctor for a proper diagnosis of hemorrhoids.

Thanks both of you, benzo.r.c & Bennie I do think it's a hemmorid, because the blood is all ways fresh and bright. I do have an appointment with my doc in 3 weeks, and I'll ask her to look into it
