Cortisone - don't put that into "other medications" please:-)

Hey guys,

 

I had a bad allergic reaction to something, don't know what - and I am now taking 60 mg Cortisone per day.

I could not NOT take it, because my mouth, face, body was swollen like in a comic - ridiculous and dangerous.

And I did not want to go to the ER so I found a doctor who did that with me without hospitals.

I thought in the ER I would perhaps break down emotionally because of the recent things in my life - and end with benzos or in the psychiatry again.

So I decided to take the shit at home and face side effects alone. Hell, was I afraid. It was risky, but it worked out.

 

I will have to stay with that high dose for weeks, and than taper it.

Another taper for me, great! Did I mention the side effects of cortisone? Aggression, heart racing, aaaaaaaahhhhhhh and other stuff.

 

My question - has anyone experience with tapering cortisone? of course my normal doctor wants to stop it too fast. So for a taper plan I would be thankful.

 

For hugs, I would be thankful too. Just don't peak me. I could burst.

I've tapered off of it without too much trouble. I'm guessing you will be ok.  --V
