Your sleep log is showing a huge improvement since you came to this site. Do you really expect the zero nights to stop all at once? It is a process and you seem to be progressing through it. The zero nights will end as the sleeping nights will increase.

I was hoping I was done with them, but I guess not.  I am losing my mind and thinking I have something physically wrong with me.

and i agree with Alohah - you can't expect at this stage that it will even out quickly - steady/slow progress seems to the be the way for most.. the more you worry and put pressure on yourself to sleep the more likely it is that the issues will continue.. you need to let go of that and adopt a more "i don't give a *&^t if i don't sleep".. hard i know but can be done with time and practice.. fizzlewitch did exactly this and in time her sleep began to recover. Theway, the fact that you had a zero night doesn't really mean much, and is to be COMPLETELY expected. Please don't get discouraged. Your system is still very fragile. It might be helpful to think about everything you ingested or did the day before, as oftentimes there is something that may have put you over the edge. For instance, the night before last I took a B vitamin, and only get 2 very poor hours in late morning.

But don't get too hung up on it. Sometimes it just happens. At least you should have a reservoir of some sleep.

And it is soooo easy when you are sleep deprived to start getting paranoid about what is going on etc... whenever i have a reasonable sleep my mood is much more positive as is my hope.. so now when i don't sleep well and the negativity sets in i tell myself "hmm that's Mr Sleep Deprived talking - i don't need to take any notice of him.." then i just try to get on with positive activity/keep busy to distract myself XOX

It was nice to see your sleep diary all at once...I agree with everything already posted and will add that in our case, Sleep Anxiety can become a self fulfilling prophecy...I can see that it is affecting your entire life...but look in the mirror and tell yourself that this crap hasn't killed me yet and move on...as was said of FizzleWitch's attitude.....I am not near my calendar but I think I am about 7 months out and last night I did sleep better than any time since this journey started...this gave me hope to wade through the less wonderful nights.

Best wishes...

what I would give to have 7 to 8 hours of even broken sleep every few nights ! I have been averaging 4 hours for the last 3 years since My first taper. I never got over 6 hours and even that was rare and whatever sleep I got was always and is always broken.

I suffered total insomnia at 4 different times and had to be hospitalized that is how I ended up on this rat poison which Im trying to wean off of.  I had insomnia from depression and always will , people who did not have insomnia before the benzo should have their sleep return to somewhat normal after a length of time wish I could say the same.

Hey, Way. I was sleeping well enough and doing well enough in January to where I thought I was done with this BS now here I am with a stretch of insomnia wondering how much longer. Looks like I jumped a week or so before you did but we got there very different ways. I like your sleep journal and may start doing that. I was keeping a journal but just circling good days so I'd have a visual way to see progress then I have a couple of good weeks and stop journaling thinking I'm done. Guess not!! Well, everyone says we heal eventually. I'm giving it a year til I start freaking out. Don't ask me how I'll stay employed and parent until then but whatever, right?
