Insatiable Appetite.

I eat way more when my symptoms are worse.. oddly I don't gain weight from doing this though.  I wonder if it's that my adrenaline is higher so I burn more calories.

Yes i get it bad, though it seems to have eased in the last two insane sx weeks. I have had it for a couple of years now, and couldnt say for sure its benzo related, but would love to hear others experiences..

It feels like im eating to control cramping pain that mimics hunger pain...? Also all the wrong foods ease it..

Messed up nerves maybe??

Hi.  When I was in taper my appetite diminished and I lost 10 pounds.  However, once I jumped my appetite came back and I gained the 10 pounds back (not a bad thing but I wish the weight would have stayed off).  Anyway, my recent observation is that when we have a big appetite our body may be telling us it needs food for energy to heal.

For example, a couple weeks ago I had a really distinct window and was eating everything but the kitchen sink!  Unfortunately, a wave hit for several days shortly thereafter and my appetite dropped off. However, once I got on the upswing again, food looked and tasted really good.  I do think it is good to just listen to your body (no matter what stage of withdrawal you are in) as we are all unique based on the feedback you received so far.

Eat good foods as best you can and make sure you have enough water each day.  Good luck.
