Completely lost with dose and why am I getting bad reactions to night doses?

Don't know where to begin. I've been on Valium for 15 years, last June-July I CTd klonopin and cut the valium from 200mgs to 90-70-50 etc down to 30mgs. Valium is all I take now. I held at 30mgs all December and was doing a bit better until mid-December, things got worse around Christmas, I was very dizzy again, with vertigo and breathing issues. I felt I was getting paradoxical reactions to the Valium since I got worse each time I took my evening/night dose (I take 6 doses because I can't tolerate 10 mgs in one dose). I skipped doses starting January and been very unstable with my dose, from 15mgs to 27.5 mgs. I've felt awful these last days, but I'm also scared because the late doses make me feel so sick. Do you think 25mgs is a safe dose to hold all January and maybe February (taking most of the dose in the morning) and then start tapering again when my brain is more stable?

Do you take 15 mg some days and 27,5 mg another day?

Or am I that bad in reading now.

IF you jump around in doses like that you will feel ill.

Try to get stable at one dose, and hold. Get stable.

I feel like you but with my morning dose. I split in it 4 doses now.

Good luck☺

I dont know what others will say, but I think you have probably just gone too fast.

240 mg V. with Cl equivalent down to 25 thereabouts in 6 months.  Have you considered that because your body hasn't had time to adjust you are stuck in endless withdrawal.

Have you tried choosing a reasonably low dose (say 25 mg or 30 mg) and just sitting there for a couple of months, and staying at that dose for as long as necessary.

Whenever I try to speed this up it bites me in the ass.

You read right Me2, I was very unstable because I felt I was getting paradoxical effects.

Jorges: you are right, but I had to CT k and drastically cut last Summer because I had two anaphylactic shocks (not benzo related) that literally destroyed my body, I wasn't able to handle them, I quit all meds CT last June/August and only left the Valium.

I've been stable for two days, I know that's nothing but I will keep on holding at 25mgs at least three weeks until I feel stable. Amazingly I've felt much better today, a window maybe in the middle of this chaos?

A window is a window... even if its a tease, it shows that your body has all it needs to feel good...

U have done such an amazing job thus far...

A good stabalize is what i would be thinking about, and how that works out will give you an idea of the next stage of your taper...

Holding is healing...

And a good time to work out what is going on with your dose reaction...

How were the sx for the earlier part of your taper??

Doing well...!
