My 50 years Birthday - "support pill" or hold ?

Hey

Today I become 50 y.o.

Tonight 30 guests/family will come..

Frankly I feel best when I am taping. Going on hold "lasts too long"

So I asked my wife to give an extra 5 mg diazapam one or two days before  - so I dident sat with withdrawal syndroms at my own birthday party. I had the pill yesterday; now I have a little tinitus, but no sweating or musclespasms.

Actually I am also concidering to take a 5 mg ekstra dose when I am going for skiilng for 9'days in Norway. My kids, my wife and I will go.

I feel better following my tapimg program than I like going on hold.

And since its my wife controllng when I take the "support pill" - I am thinking that I am not "cheating" on my taping plan.

So what do you think? Should I hold or should I take 5 mg diazapam pill right before we leave to Norway. And of cause keep taping under my ski-trip ? - I prefer secumd option.

The 5 mg pill I had yesterday did not have any "pleasent" influence on me. It only remowed the worst withdrawal syndroms.

I tell my self that "support pills" should only be taken so I do not make a "show off"'out of mynwithdrawal syndroms.

I will need one support pill in april when we go for a "Spring weekend" in Cologne/Germany.

So any great dangers using "support pill" instead of hold ?

Life, family and friends are important, that motivates us to get through the hard times...

but you dont want to upset your taper too much.. -or your Dr...!!!

Only you will know how these up doses affect things, so tread carefull...

You have 3 up doses in mind already???

If so, pls note that, so it doesnt get out of hand...

But also enjoy those great moments in life as you can. We only get so many....

Happy Birthday!!!

It's going to become too easy to reach for more any time a situation arises, IMO.  I simply forged ahead no matter what was happening in my life, and there was a lot happening. I found that actually I did better than I anticipated.

I think you'll be just fine. If I was flying somewhere I couldn't do it without a rescue dose. Not remotely possible.  I just couldn't. So one pill there, one pill back. My doctor said absolutely not harmful. With birthdays and stuff I tend to just get by but thirty people not sure. I do find if I just deal with it though many times it turns out to be very surprisingly enjoyable. I'm in a quandary right now. The dentist. But I get sedation (a different drug) for that. Still frantic enough I haven't called yet. I believe in sticking to my taper as much as possible but not always at the expense of causing myself anguish. So I think what you're doing should be fine. Birthdays come once a year and maybe avoid too many holidays for now now. Go and enjoy to the fullest. Happy 50th to you!!! Ya made it! A little one or two time small pill won't hurt. Happy skiing. I gotta side with Piano on this one.

I think the more you work at going through tougher situations WITHOUT up dosing will make you more strong.

Lol... well im going to sit in the middle...

Too many variables...

-I updosed when C14 broke both his arms, and i had to stay in at the hospital for a week... (couldnt plan a hold)

But i wouldnt for my own pleasure alone...

Possibly for family time, if needed, my kids have missed out on 7 1/2 yrs now, maybe different if they had a mum... -time can be so short, here one second, gone the next...

So yeah, for my kids i could  mess up my taper PLAN, -but i wouldnt want to if it were going to mess up my whole taper by it becoming habit....

I think holding for a while prior to an event is possibly the better idea...

I guess im a bit biased too... if social reclusion or isolation was a finite 1 or 2 years, -then yes, push on through... but if its longer or there are other considerations, these need to be carefully weighed up for the best overall outcome... -little is cut n dry... imho.

I see that some have sx problems with up dosing too.. but for me the real worry would be  that it didnt become regular in any way...

So hope i didnt step on toes...
