New sx or a reaction??

Hi all,

Not sure i can describe well, but ill try...

Its night 10 of a usual 14...

Im on 1.5v -from 2v

My last 3 days have been fairly good, worn out and sore from a big day 3 days ago..

 

I forgot to take my v last night, and took it 8 hrs later 4am, -i dose once in the pm...

My dose was correct, from a new pill, but just after i took it (10min), i could feel things going bad, like high blood pressure, tingeling, tightening... like a balloon being inflated, or a morphine rush after a bad accident...

Have Never had this before even with one off doses of up to 10mg in hospital, and 5mg at home quite often...

Some of you write about reactions to your dose, and the only interaction i can see, is i had an extra coffee yesterday...

it was a strong and scary feeling, and i didnt feel right when i woke 3hrs later, but just feel flattened now, at 7hrs...

I was feeling so good before, now im quite worried about taking tonights dose... -i feel like i have been warned...!

No coffee today, but what else can i do?? -there were no other meds...

Maybe just a one time reaction so try not to worry about tonight. It'll probably be just fine. Strange things happen but are often isolated to a single dose. B

I dont have much choice... lol -will just make sure my bag is packed, an C14 is sorted for school etc...

Feel very odd today, and more constant burning than ever before, tight in neck and jaw...

Was trying to make a mental note of th sx as it happened, but i just didnt retain them...

-anything but that again... lol

Maybe i forgot to swollow my dose and they disolved in mouth, cant remember either way...

But "rush" would be a good way to describe.. and the timing fits...

I've had a few rushes but they're pretty rare. Can't say they're one bit pleasant but I just try hard to push through them until they pass. Lol kind of no other option. B

No... its a bit late to spit it out, but i vaguely remember thoughts to that effect..

I guess what scared me was i couldnt stay awake or move or think... -then i think i just faded out...

But like u say, what can one do...

sounds like u know this story Barb, -not one bit pleasant sure fits too... -not very regular sounds good...

But i might just say "no rush", -thats multi-tasking... lol

Your last cut was maybe to big and you got a late w/d? You know my rebounds strikes 7 days and 14 days since my last cut. Little off topic but next cut,do you have 5 mg of Valium? Then you could cut 0,25 mg by just split it in to 4 pieces. Then you got a pill with 1,25 mg without try to cut these 2 Mg's. Next time after that you take a 1 mg. And maybe liquid as the final countdown? Just a thought 😊// Sun☉

Ahhh,Sun.. -u got me so worked out!!! Only thing i will add to our great plan is an extra week hold for this cut...

I was tentitivly aiming for the 1v in 0.5v cuts /14days... but knew i wouldnt make it about a week ago...

 

-i think Barb is right, -a rush... but imagine my surprise, it was really out there, considering i didnt always behave on my "other" meds... and fentynal is nothing to sneeze at!!! This went way beyond,

-no thank you!!!

 

Anyways, how is yourself, after well, a bit of a rough run, and the passion flower tea??

Lol, -i did have just one coffee this arvo, it settled me...

Hope u find the perfect hot drink asap!!!

Well I have stopped CT from my antihistamine BAD idea.. The passion flower tea is history. Now I deal with w/d from Phenergan. Not nice. I must cut all CNS medicine. I got such a bad heart rate from the Phenergan. So I just quit. Feel a lot of sxs but they are less today. 

 

😊 well so nice I could help. This is my plan for my last cuts when I maybe need 0,25 mg to cut.

Coffee..I wish but not today...Did u know that antihistamine was a med u have to taper off? Not my doc, not the pharmacist or the company that sell them. I freaked out today.They had not updated the side effects or w/d since 1960. I took my nurse hat on and gave them a hard time! 

 

I am a doc's and a pharmacists worse nightmare ha ha. Yeah I gave the a hard lesson today.

U know, up until my accident in 09, i hadnt taken a pharmacy medication that i felt even worked...

We used natural medicine... i didnt even know what oxycontin was, and thought valium was for old people to sleep... -wasnt i in for a rude shock!!! Lucky i did some biology at uni... just a little...

 

And NO problems with my meds tonight... thank goodnes.. or i would have C/T from here... and used gabapentin or perhaps lyrica, if that didnt work...

 

Must sleep tonight, but aircon leaking water on carpet.. grrr...

I can relate 100%. I've been skipping doses because my evening/night doses make me feel exactly like that plus making my breathing issues worse. The weird thing is that I can tolerate fine the morning doses (I take 6 doses total because I can't tolerate a 10mgs pill in one dose).

 

I know I should not skip doses but sometimes I'm so scared of taking it because it makes me sick. My daily routine is the same, same food, so I don't know what's going on..scared of taking the med and scared of not taking it

I sure feel for you... your coming off such high doses!!!

Not sure what exactly happened to me, there was a slight hint of it again early this morning, but no meds (V) taken...

-bit or a lot, too big a cut (not sure yet, still hanging in there)

-a huge day prior -exessive exercise thus released toxins in system..

-dont think i swallowed tablet properly (not unusual)

-new sx

Thats all i can think of so far... -i suspect my first two points combined..

I could say there was a type of anaphylactic feeling to it, like if i eat shellfish... but just the feeling, not actual... -thus the toxic overload...

Will prob never know for sure, just dont want it again!!!

 

So hope you find a way around it, -dose splitting sounds like a sensible idea...

How good/bad are your sx day to day??
