Dizziness and head pressure relief?

[Da...]

Recommended Posts

Yesterday the head/eye pressure was horrible - I felt like my eyes were going to pop out of my head and it progressively got worse through the day. Today that's there along with extreme dizziness.

I know why I have them, and I'm already slowing down my taper so please don't tell me I need to do that. Are there any other ways to relieve these? I read to put a heating pad on your neck for the dizziness, which I'll try but the eye pressure is so uncomfortable and it makes me crazy!

It was my very worst symptom once I jumped. It started to go away about 3 to 4 weeks after I jumped. It now just comes and goes, along with horribly bloodshot and glassy eyes. Very noticeable red eyes, in fact.

It was one of the first symptoms that started, along with right quadrant pain. In fact, it was my first trip to the ER, thinking I was in acute liver failure or something. (I wasn't...)

I found hold and cold wash clothes would sometimes help a BIT, but it wouldn't completely go away.

I've been plagued with eye problems but with allergies non stop. Normally I just get seasonal hay fever. So my sinuses go berserk. Head pressure, and my eyes look absolutely dreadful. Red, swollen and puffy and yes feel like at times I want to pop them out. Or that they will pop out. It's not related to my cuts though even though I'm happy you're slowing down. My doctor said anyone with allergies during a taper, or simply taking benzos is very prone to head and eye pressure. It's not dangerous but yet another awful symptom. Maybe a cold cloth or even ice on your eyes? Might want to try alternating cold, hot on your neck. Works for some. B

Yes, pretty normal! I would actually dry heave if I got the slightest bit anxious, usually for things like my 13-year old son not being home before dark (even if he was just 5 minutes late and even if he texted to say he was on the way, etc.) It was completely irrational but would send me into a full-fledge panic, wretching away. Gawd, it was no fun. I haven't done that in about a week. Let's hope I don't jinx myself!
