Been in tolerance with Ativan for at least a year.  Last summer I developed a feeling like I was on a boat when I walked.  Swaying ....almost like I'm going to tip over.  Neurologist thinks it's anxiety.  Has anyone had this and does it go away as you go down.  I'm dizzy but it's this sxs that is troubling. Can anyone reassure me.  Not steady on my feet

I absolutely have the boat type swaying feeling after i became tolerant to klonopin. Dizzy too. It makes it where I can't stand for long, or even walk sometimes. For awhile I was using a walker. I always feel even when sitting sometimes, that I'm going to fall flat on my face. I'm have been considering doing a milk titration off the klonopin, but now thinking I may do a full crossover to Valium. I am on 20 Mgs Valium as well because of a mess up with my doctor so now stuck on two benzos. But when I take the Valium I'm able to stand longer, I can walk more without my heart going super high. The klonopin does nothing for me now, but make me sicker. Still researching but considering full crossover.

I have had this for sometime with my taper. It sucks for sure. I usually find its bc I'm cutting too fast or at the worst of it when it hits me with muscle weakness and the dizziness, boaty feeling. Completely normal, I've seen many people with it.

totally. I went into tolerance withdrawal and this is my primary symptom. 24/7 im "whacked out" feeling. its very hard to describe. its not quite dizzy, not quite vertigo, but kind of! im off balance, and my visual perspective is a bit off. i started getting agoraphobia too, and it seems to accompany the worst of this feeling. very hard to live through, go to work through (ugh).

a glint of light though is ive had some small windows as they say where the effects have relented a bit now at a lower dose. i still get it pretty bad when i make a cut, but when im level now beneath 10mg of diazepam, ive seen some hope as ive been a little more firmly planted on the ground.
