I don't understand why I have 18 views on my last topic and nobody took the time to write anything in response? I would love for somebody to talk to right now. I am only 30 days off this horrible drug!!!

Don't trust the view counter, in some cases it's simply not accurate. Also, keep in mind that the people browsing this forum are in a really bad state, and many of them simply are not able to write a coherent response.

You're still very early in the withdrawal process, so just buckle up and endure. You can experience all kinds of bizarre sensations, but try not to get too frightened since they're all related to benzo withdrawal.

Sometimes I think the therapy comes from just posting your concerns and not the responses you receive (although many of the latter are incredibly helpful and apprciated). Perhaps if you can find just one or two people on BB with whom you can correspond regularly you will feel more "heard" and not like your words aren't getting the response you'd hoped to get? Just shy of 100 days off benzos and have hit my first really large wave since the inital misery of detox.  Keep plugging along and realize this process is long, difficult and predictably unpredictable.  :-\

I do the same.. I answer people with no responses too. I was just hoping the kindness would be resipicated. I'm need help sleeping at night and dealing with face pressure. I dont fall asleep until the sun comes up. Then in sleep all day because I'm depressed. My face feels me it's super tight around my forehead and eyes. Do any of you have any suggestions as to how I can change my sleeping habits around so can sleep at night? And any experiences with face/forehead symptoms?

Thank you all for responding to my questions earlier.

Sorry to hear about your struggle my friend . At least you are sleeping though so there is a little positivity to this. I Hardley slept at all until recently, in the beggining I would go days without sleeping . Try to only focus on positive things , obviously there isn't much positive about our situation but you can read positive things and listen to positive affirmations ( we become our thoughts so be mindful) .

Changing you sleep habits might be tricky right now since your body is so out of wack. I am not saying give up on trying but you may just have to tough all this out for a month or two till things cool down a little more in you body.

There is nothing to do for the face pressure I have had that for a while though it's a lot less severe now. Using a hot towel sometimes helped a little bit.

The best thing I have found so far to help with all this is using and learning mindful/ meditation skills ( go inside yourself and focus on improving everything, it will help, you have all the time in the world now to become a zen master). Hope this helps a smidge my friend! Pally, doody friendly friend friend ! Hope u find some relief soon , perhaps in a window

For sleep the only thing that helped me was melatonin and it only worked for a few months. I used to try OTC sleep aids but they'd cause me to shake and twitch. I didn't have any adverse reactions to melatonin. I kind of just gave up on sleep to be honest, and it came around. I couldn't work during the first 12 months after my taper, so I just took away the pressure to sleep, and I slept eventually. I'd often be awake when the sun came up and then sleep until 4-5pm. I just didn't worry about the next day. If I was sleeping days and awake nights, I'd take it. I did what my body demanded, really.

I have the facial/head pressure as well. I've not had any luck outside of stacking pillows (or something heavier) on my head to apply MORE pressure... somehow reducing the internal pressure in my head. Kind of like how a weighted blanket reduces nerve pain, ya know?

Hope that helps
