Hi!  It's good to see you are rounding the bend!  I will admit I was concerned for you with your other posts where you were thought you had a fatal insomnia disease.  GLAD is was not that at all.  It is really tough to function and think properly when one is sleep deprived (myself included).

Wishing you steady progress in recovery.  I think sleep will get better in a hurry for you.  Be well.

i think in our situations patience and acceptance is the key.. when we panic about our not sleeping we simply make sleep less likely.. we must accept our situation, suck it up, and have faith that sleep will normalise in time.. i mean what else can we do? love and hugs to you Theway :smitten:

7-8 hours! I am so happy for you! Proves that even the toughest cases will eventually come around. I'm sure you know there will be tough nights still, but the general trend is upward and onward...

You're doing great  That's a tremendous amount of progress within a short (subjectively endless of course) period of time. I bet your healing will accelerate now that you're getting more sleep :smitten:

Great news! Just know that you can most likely expect waves to come and go for some time, so soak up and enjoy this and all future windows. My last drawn out wave seems to have finally let up since the last 3 nights were near normal sleeps. At least I now understand that it is probably not over yet, but it sure is nice to feel so good during the day.

I am very glad that you did not give in to the urge to reinstate!

Thanks everyone for the kind words, encouragement and comments.  I hope the window continues.  The weird thing is, I have more anxiety now than I did before when I get sleep.

But all of this will pass with more time

That makes sense (re: having more anxiety). Could be many things, but maybe because the "routine" is changing, it's confusing your mind because it is different and now your mind doesn't know what to expect. But sounds like you are dealing/accepting it and are riding everything out, you are doing amazing!
