Xanax

On xanax i was never afraid, i felt like a queen now i feel lost and alone. Anyone else?

I know what you mean...with xanax we always had a crutch for the rough times- now we have to go it alone and rely on our own strength  to get through...it is daunting but every day I make it through a challenge without xanax I am proud of myself.

I understand what you mean but Xanax is not your friend.  Eventually it stops working and makes you worse than you ever were before you started taking it.  I suggest you stay off of it and work through your fear.  You will be much better off in the long run.

Yes, I know…but that is simply a false braveness.  Hang in there, it gets better.

I had a panic attack when I arrived at my hairdresser the other day. The salon had no ther patrons. I sat down in the chair and my stylist who I've known now for 10 years helped calm me. Because I taught him 4-7-8 breathing for his anxiety, he was able to help me breathe through it, told me to focus on a building on the skyline, and got me a glass of water. He has taken Xanax PRN for years, and although he knew I wouldn't take one, he asked anyway because he just wanted me not to suffer. Man, I wanted one in that moment. But after 10 minutes I came back into my body and was calm. The irony is that the Xanax probably would have taken 10 minutes to work too. We are stronger than the pills.
