You're going to survive this. Many of us have been through this and we thought we were dying. You are going to get better. I've had this. And now I can sleep. You're going to be able to sleep better soon. Hang in.

Try Progressive Muscle Relaxation. Because it's a drug that's causing this, it might not be strong enough to help. Keep reminding yourself you're going to get better.

I was at my absolute worst at around 5 months out. It got to the point where, after days on end of almost no sleep, I ended up in the ER on my birthday. I think I tried just about every OTC sleep aid there is, but nothing seemed to help me. I also tried Trazodone, which only kind of/sort of worked for me. I then went to see a psychologist who specialized in sleep therapy. My takeaways from those sessions were the following:

1) breathing exercises (they may not seem to help at first but keep at it)

2) no TV or internet within 2 hours of bedtime

3) read a nice, boring book at bedtime and/or listen to calming music or sounds

4) write down a list of things you enjoy doing or experiencing or are thankful for (e.g. I'm a music nerd so I'd often list my favorite songs released in a particular decade)

5) try sleeping in a different room or in a different bed (e.g. I had internal tremors so bad at one point that I made a pallet on the floor to sleep on! The firmness of the floor seemed to help, though)

6) get direct exposure to sunlight first thing in the morning (e.g. I would sit out on the deck and eat a bit of cereal in the morning)

7) exercise (e.g. walking) when you can, even when you feel like a zombie

8) don't get exasperated when/if you fail to fall asleep: This only makes things worse. Just do your best to let things be. Eventually, everything will get back to normal.

Good luck, and Godspeed to you.

Thanks the thing is I slept fine during taper and for past 5 months post jump. The jump caused me an autoimmune problem. Now nooo sleeping like none.

I, too, slept fairly well during the taper. But it's not uncommon for insomnia to come crashing down on one several months post-taper. BB is littered with such accounts. However, I cannot comment on the autoimmune issue as, to my knowledge, I do not suffer from any such ailment. Hopefully, you'll crash here in a few days and get a bit of sleep. Take care.

What do you mean by 8 0 and 6 0 ... is that hours or minutes ....I am going into 21 months and my sleep returned to 4/5 hours every night at 16 months sometimes less and then there was odd night I got none ...at 18 months it all returned to none hardly ...if I fell asleep it was for minutes and no more on/off for two hours for a couple of nights and none for the rest ... I will then get one night at 6 hours if i am lucky ....nothing i do makes me sleep ..why this came back worse I don't know ..I have never taken anything since tapering, this is the worst symptom  :-\
