a gratitude post

Hi all,

Just wanted to write how thankful I am that I know all of you guys. I know we only know each other via this internet world, but I feel like I "know" many of you on another level! Probably because we can relate to each other so well. I think about many of you often, and wish I could give you hugs when everything gets unbearable.

I have felt compelled to share gratitude lately, not sure if its because of what's happening in the US right now, or the weird weather my home is getting, or just changes in me. I am recognizing how lucky I am to have many people in my life who make it better. BB folks included!

Sleep is still weird with no particular predictable pattern. Last night I had SO many vivid dreams, and I keep having these reoccurring dreams about an old high school ex, so odd! I wake up after every dream and lay there and think. The weather has been crazy here lately, and I heard on a podcast that sometimes weather can throw people's sleep cycles off. Could be contributing. Trying for acceptance. How are you guys doing?

You guys give me hope, make me laugh, and make me feel less alone. I hope everyone finds a sense of peace within today!

Hi Tealwater!  What a nice post about our fellow BBs.  I've had a few exchanges with you on the boards and am grateful we've been able to have each other's support.

I know a lot of other BBs would concur about this website's ability to make us all feel like each other's friends!  I think gratitude is one of the most important things in life in order for one to heal and to feel joy about life.

Wishing you the best!!!!

It is very comforting in an odd way, when lying there in the middle of the night, to know that you are not "alone". Maybe we don't have all the answers, but we can take turns trying to keep each other's spirits up, until better days come. It's been a tough winter for me, but I feel that I might just possibly be turning a corner? it's really too soon to say. At least I have my little dog and he is doing great.

I love the fact that we are all around the world in different time zones, so when you're awake at night, you know you have a wide awake BBuddie too!

Teal, re weather patterns. We had some big storms last month, and I noticed my headaches and sleep got worse when the air pressure dropped.

Glad you think you're turning a corner meowie. Hope it lasts a long time.

It is not always easy to do, but taking the time to recognize the things that we should be grateful for every day is a great idea. No matter how bad our circumstances may seem, they can just about always be worse. Insomnia and depression seem horrible, but to how much worse would it be to endure them without a home, family or friends?

Exactly!! And having jobs to do to, or things to do - even when we feel they get in the way or that we are too exhausted or anxious to function. Having stuff to focus on is really the true cure in all this. I'm so glad for all of these things, and for you guys here as well.
