Yep, 10 days but that was caused directly by Benzos when I was taking a dose of Diclazepam equivalent to 700mg of Diazepam a day. I was also abusing Codeine and drinking a LOT of caffeine too. Not even WD did this to me. I don't recall feeling all that tired, but I did feel weak and my brain felt 'addled' and muddled. I also remember thinking an elderly man with a dog was following me around by day 10. If I am struggling to sleep I still try laying down and at least letting my body rest for a bit and also reduce your caffeine intake. I hope you get to sleep soon.

Wel I had another no sleep tonight, it seems Im for some reason on an every other day sleep schedule, also I still have a cough keeping me up.....The past 5 days I was up 40 hours then I slept 9, then the same thing the next time.....don't get it, I am thinking it may have something to do with me being on the CPU so much and possibly getting too much blue light

60 hours is my current record (not benzo related).

Because of withdrawal I think I have been up the most for around 36 hours.

Yes, I was awake for 9 days following my CT from 8 mg of Ativan. I was WIDE awake.  I hallucinated for days in my corner of my kitchen.  The hallucinations started on day 6.  When my friends were not able to get a hold of me they sent the police who broke my door down. I went to the hospital by ambulance.

Mark,

The every other day is pretty common in withdrawal, which I know you say you are not in, but you are.  I am going through the same thing and I finally started getting sleep after 5 months off.  I stayed awake a lot sometimes 3 days straight on several occasions. I also missed about 40 nights since August.  I just got some sleep 6 nights in a row.  Not all of it is for a long time, sometimes only 2 or 3 hours, sometimes 7 or 8.  But if you are sleeping 7-9 hours every other night, you are doing great.  That will eventually go to 2 or more nights in a row with sleep.  You are close to rounding a corner.

Like I said though The Getting to sleep part has nothing to do with the WD sadly, as That was the reason I got on the Ativan in the first place to put me to sleep, The QUality of sleep might be but not the going part

Hi Mark,

I've currently been awake for 39 hours (I know this is minute compared to some) however I'm about to start my guided meditation and I'll let you know how it goes tonight and how I'm feeling. Currently I feel wide awake  :'(

  • 3 weeks later...
My depression episode gave me nearly 2 months without a single night having more than one or two hours of light sleep on any night. It was horrible. lost lots of weight.
