Thank you, I just hope this shows people who feel they were stuck like I did that recovery is possible. I quit cold turkey, went through living hell, feeling better every day now though.

I just try to stay as positive as possible, I could sit around all day and drown in my own self pity but I find it doesn't help. There's a point in every addicts life you just get sick of feeling like sh*t all the time.

Looks like we're close in recovery. I just made one month today after weaning off of Adivan. I was originally prescribed volume, along with morphine and Percocet for a back injury.  As it took more and more volume to keep me functioning I took more and more. I didn't notice how bad I was until it was nearly too late. With a clear head I'm so much different. Yes I'm having some symptoms but I'm so much better. I'm having nightmares about the seizures and first two weeks when my brain was just out for lunch. I'm so grateful that even in my state I was able to recognize ( eventually) that I was losing it. I'm so glad to have found this forum!! I know to distract but it's much easier to do with company! I feel so much better knowing I'm not alone in this nightmare . I'm grateful for so much in spite  of the daily struggle. It's all worth it!! I'm rooting for you!!

I am happy to see you are doing alright. A few of your posts had me worried about you. You are a testament to what ppl can do if they have the will power and desire to be free from drugs. I am happy for you. I had my own hard road to go down but I have made it to 14 months now so I feel I can stick it out the rest of the way. Nothing is easy about this it takes super self control and discipline to get through it and not to give up and go back on the junk.

Blessings and continued healing to you! I am celebrating 2 years OFF Ativan today, Feb 1st. Amazing...truly a miracle. It was a horror movie of epic proportions, but it's way over now and your well on your way too, soon you will have your own SS to join the rest of us!  I also quit CT and it is certainly not what I would ever suggest. It's just how it went down for me.

God bless and keep healing!  :smitten:
