Swollen lymph node

If you have four small children, you may have caught something they've been exposed to at school or child care.  I don't recall any swollen lymph nodes during this taper, but it's not that unusual if someone has a virus or bacterial infection to get that.

If your not feeling sick I wouldn't be the slightest bit concerned. We notice these things so much when we're going through a taper. A pimple can cause this. Odd but true. So could cutting yourself shaving. Almost anything. A nasty hangnail. When the body is actively fighting off any sign of bacteria a lymph node can swell. Honestly. So off and on we all have swollen lymph nodes but normally we just simply never notice them. It's amazing how we find every lump, bump, bruise, cramp etc that we have that simply in the past we wouldn't even given a second thought to. And it's worth mentioning if you keep feeling it 20 times a day it will remain agitated and swollen. So unless you feel sick other than benzo sick let it be. With four boys something's bound to be swollen at any given time.  :D B

I had swollen lymph nodes coming off klonopin a few years ago.

AND - this is a symptom I have NEVER seen anyone here mention, but I will tell you that I definitely had it. It looked like I had a huge, swollen lymph node on the left side of my neck. I mean almost golf ball size! The doctor even looked at it, palpitated it and mentioned the words Hodgkins, it was so large. She sent me in to have it scanned. You would not BELIEVE what it was. It was the large muscle in my neck that had worked itself into a huge KNOT! I kid you not and everybody was absolutely baffled as to why it happened. A few months off the Klonopin and it just went away on its own.

I mean, I seriously looked almost deformed, you could see it if you looked at me straight and my hair wasn't covering it! BIZARRE!

That said, I should have never resumed use, because I now find myself in the same situation trying to get off Klonopin years later. But yeah, I've had both the swollen lymph nodes in my neck and chest (these went away in a week) and that absolutely weird neck muscle knot. The ultrasound techs thought it was so weird, they called 3 more people in to look at it! (???) It was pretty wild.

Unbelievable twinkle. I had a huge knot in my left leg bout 5 inches up on the right side. It hurt like crazy. So I thought it had to be a muscle in that spot which it was. No lymph nodes there. So I kept rubbing it as hard as I could (not advisable with neck) for days and days. One night it simply dissolved literally before my eyes. The pain dissolved as well. I still had a huge red mark for probably month or more but it had to be a muscle. The tension simply released. I swear these drugs do crazy things. But yours had to to be one for the books. Unreal.

Dad I have my bad moments believe me. I guess though over the years I've learned that it's ok to get scared or be really tearful or have such intense emotions they can bring us to a halt or so fearful we cry out. That's why BB is so so important. Somebody is there to offer not necessarily sound advice but to give support, offer a hand and above all try to show compassion. Or to say it's ok that happened  to me too and surprise I lived to tell about it. No ones problems are insignificant at any given time. But no I'm not always happy. I get sad too. But I do try to stay positive because I feel I have no other option. And I love it when people can laugh because it's truly good for us but doesn't come our way too often. Grab it when you can. B :smitten:
