Agitation or Akathesia? This is crazy.

And, boom, just like that, about two months out, a new symptom pops up.  My big question is -  akathesia or agitation?

The past few days I have been jumping out of my skin.  It's not anxiety.  Or at least the anxiety I've known over the years.  It's this relentless feeling of energy, a buzzing tension, in my muscles and bones and throughout my body.  I want to say it's almost painful, almost flu like.  It's deeply unsettling and there is no let up...it becomes an exercise in will to just sit in one place.  And, at night, it shows up as a form of RLS where it feels like electricity builds and then shoots down my leg into my foot like a bolt of lightning.  Forget sleep the past few nights.  I've been lucky to get an hour in and I'm pretty sure that's not helping matters.

Anyone else dealt with this?  Is it akathesia?  Agitation?  Argh.  Frustrating.

probably not full blown akasthesia..

I have something similar....

A deep inner restlessness... You cannot relax... Inner shakiness...

It's aggravating... Makes me agitated... Very irritable at times

Keeping busy helps it some

It's mind blowingly irritating.  Just a breather, a let up would be great.

I had akathesia for the first 8 months.  Then it settled down to raging anxiety and electricity.  I also have RLS at night and wear compression socks to make the RLS go away.

I have no idea what area of the brain causes this, but it is brutal.

Probably a bit of both.  Had it in acute, by the 4th month it was completely gone.

I am looking forward to a day without this.  The strange thing is it's so overwhelming I don't notice the other sxs that much.

Compression socks seem like a great idea.  I have gotten in the habit of pressing the heel of one foot onto the other.
