Anyone short of breath after taking Valium?

I've used Valium for more than 15 years, and now it's giving me so much air hunger, I know I have such weird feelings. Like pressure on my chest, exhaling is so difficult, brain zaps, and I feel worse after my dose, shoud I taper faster? Not writing much, my hands are shaky

Yes I have experienced SOB on both Xanax and Valium. For me it is more like shallow breathing that I find myself spontaneously taking a huge deep breath; like a deep sigh. I think this is fairly common as benzos slow down the CNS which controls breathing. That's why you should not mix benzos with alcohol or opiates as they also slow breathing. My hope is that this particular sxs will get better with the smaller the dose I take. At least that's my hope.
