Need some feedback on my staggered taper method

I took 1 mg klonopin day before yesterday, 3/4 mg yesterday, 1 mg today, and if I take 1 mg tomorrow that'll be a 4 day average of 3.75 mg / 4 = 0.9375 mg which is a 6.25% cut. Then repeat that pattern until when I'm ready for another cut. I don't notice a cut for 4 days. I can set a stopwatch to it. So if this works for me is it okay? I can't tell a difference between doing a daily 6.25% cut, holding, cutting again, and using the method I've described. Any thoughts on this would be welcomed.

When I was doing C&H, I did staggered dose taper from 15 down to 9mg V.  Because of its long half life, I never felt any discomfort or issues with staggered doses.  And with the longer half-life V I could set a stopwatch for day 8.

K has a long enough half-life that you should not have any problem.

If it is working I would continue. K has a fairly long half life so sometimes it can take a bit to feel the full effects of a cut.  My best piece of advice would be to make sure you are stable as best as possible before cutting again. It in my opinion it is easier to keep symptoms at a minimum, as best as possible, then try to reign them in once they get out of control. Also keep in mind the recommended reduction rate is 5 to 10 percent every two weeks. :smitten:

Thanks, benzos-R-cruel. I know you're right about keeping symptoms to a minimum because once they get out of control it's very hard to stabilize again. And I'll keep it under 10% every two weeks for sure. More like 5-7% every two weeks works better for me. A sick family member is depending on me and I need to be able to think as clearly as possible. I know it won't be fun but it can be made tolerable if I don't cut too fast.

That is exactly how I am doing it....some cuts are easy, others not so much. But the every other day patterns has been pretty successful and I am now at .25 headed down in about 10 days to .1825. Keep the faith and keep going!
