It makes me extremely tired and groggy but due to the benzo situation, it rarely gets me over the hump to actually sleep. I do, however, notice after 1 week of taking it a minor decrease in anxiety and a small decrease in depression. I hear it can take a month or more to build up in the system as you titrate up. Some studies say the therapeutic dose for anxiety and better sleep  is 18g a day which seems high. I will continue to take it while I taper and after the taper while I heal. It is not addictive, nor causes any side effects from withdrawl from what I read. Everyone is different however. Some people on BB have had negative reactions to it. You need to make your own educated decision based on what information you can find online. I wish you well and best of luck during this journey. We all need it!

So it appears that I have crossed a line with the inositol this week. Slept at least 5 hrs a night three nights in a row. I have combined with 1mg of melatonin XR at night. This is amazing, not sure how long it will last but this combo is working after trying everything to sleep. And I mean everything. Not sure if it will last the duration of my taper, but I will take it for what it is. Maybe it will. Regardless, I just wanted to let you know that after 2 weeks of about 5-8 grams a day of inositol a day things are looking better.
