I agree.

Morning to mer are the worst part of the day.

Evenings are almost always the best.

I sleep quite well at night, but when i wake up - Welcome to hell.

Yes! Mornings have always been the worst for me.

I am near 1 year out now. I never had many physical symptoms. In the early goings I had some inner vibrations and some tremors every once in awhile and tinnitus. I still have tinnitus but it fluctuates. The worst thing about the mornings for me are the early morning wake ups at 2:00 or 3:00 AM with the cortisol rushes and for some reason this leads to the obsessive looping thoughts. After I get up and start my day it goes away. The evenings are always good and never a problem going to sleep. It's just the early morning wake-ups that still occur but it is starting to get better.

That could be a blood sugar thing.

My version of that stopped shortly after I began having a pre-bed snack of a small banana and a glass of milk

The specific symptoms that arise are different for everyone, naturally, but the morning times seem to be a major 'thing' for almost everyone.

I think it has to do with the transition from a sleep-state to waking state (and vice versa with difficulties falling asleep). Our sluggish bodies & systems take time to manoeuvre from one condition to the other and 'we' are caught in the crossfire.

Waking up, for me, was never "an event" - it was always "a process". Moreso in WD. It needed time for all of me to "come back online". I think that is true for the majority.

Everything improves eventually, though.
