I have been taking clonazapam for about 4 months, and doctor told me to "stop taking it" but I think a taper is necessary.  I went without for 2 days and got some unpleasant symptoms.

After four months of use it probably is a good idea to do a taper, though you may not need to do as slow of a taper as someone who has been on Clonazepam longer.  Having symptoms shows there is at least some degree of dependence and a taper is in order.
