Does the amount of doses make a difference?

Currently tapering 27.5mgs of Valium. I can't handle a 10mgs pill, so I take 6 doses:

 

7am - 5 mgs

10am -5 mgs

1pm -5mgs

4pm - 5mgs

7pm - 5 mgs

10pm - 2.5 mgs

 

Someone told me I should take only 2-3 doses, is this true??

I think that if this is what you've been used to, stick with it—until dosing some how becomes problematic, size wise or with symptoms.

If you have tapered down from 200 mg a day to 27.50 and dosing six times a day works, I would stick with it.  Why fix what is not broken.

I'm only on 9 mg or as of today hoping 8. I still dose 4X a day but actually dosed 5X a day on my starting amount of 25 mg Valium. It's just both Ativan and Xanax I was dosing all day so I'm settled nicely at 4. Will stick to what I'm used to. Works for me. B

Thank you, and best of luck with your today cutting benzo barb. Yes, it has worked for me, so I'll be sticking with 6 doses while I can. Been pretty shaky and nervous today, wanted to stay under my blankets all day...
