I was wondering about dizziness? I jsut started with it a week ago , and I am 6 months out. Can new things just come up that you never had during withdrawal even?

I had no dizziness until I was off my taper quite awhile, although I can't remember how long before it started.  And to answer your question in general, yes, new symptoms can come up post taper.  I had shortness of breath as well, and it didn't show up until later.

My dizziness didn't start until I was 4 months off. It got really one day out of no where and I had to rush to the ER and my doctor let me did a CT scan on my head and it was normal. I still have very bad dizziness since then I am 7 months off. I have better days and also worse days with dizziness. My shortness of breath also came latter like recently (another new symptom).  Severe chest pain was another one that came later for me too. So yes new symptoms do appear months later after jump. However, I think, it's better to have them check out if you worry, to have peace of mine. I do that all the time especially when it comes to dizziness and chest pain.  Hang in there!

I had vertigo/dizziness starting in the middle of the taper--so from the beginning of July I have had horrible vertigo all day every day with no breaks and nothing helps.  I am seeing a neurologist and I had an MRI which showed nothing to help and I am doing physical therapy which is not helping because I don't have the kind of vertigo which can be helped with PT and so I am doing it anyway even though it makes the vertigo and nausea worse.  I don't see it ever stopping although the people caring for me tell me it will.  I have few other symptoms now but the vertigo is enough to make my life impossible to live.  No answers, sorry.  I was stupid to listen to this top doc I had who gave it to me so I guess I am getting what I deserve.  Yes I am cynical----the medical community has no idea what they are doing.

Yes, dizziness is a fairly common symptom. You are not in a protracted withdrawal. A protracted withdrawal is symptoms that go beyond 18 months. Healing is not linear and new symptoms can pop up at anytime. I personally had dizziness for about five months.
