stomach pain and nausea - new symptoms every day!

Hi all,

So for the past 24 hours I have had stomach pain and mild nausea.  Also with increased belching.

The pain is constant burning.  It almost feels like it is in my abdominal muscles.

Every time I get a new symptom, it triggers tremendous panic and fears of the worst.

I hope this resolves soon.  New symptoms make me miss my usual symptoms because at least I know what those are.

Anyone experience this?  I know "benzo belly" is a common thing, but I haven't really had it so far after over 5 months out.

Thanks to everyone for your support.

It amazes me how much we are all suffering, yet we come together to give and help each other through this.  Where would we be without this site????

Funny ( I know it is not!) that you write this this morning.  I am 11 months out and my stomach was now fine for a couple of months. ..This morning I woke up with that burning in my stomach.  Feels also like burning my abdomen, my muscles.... :tickedoff:

This will pass...

Hi all.  I'm with Davi on this.  Am 3 months out and was doing good (and erroneously thought I was "done" with withdrawal).  Ha!  Got the nausea and abdominal/back aches and twitches the last few days.  I am taking probiotics as Momack suggests and you may want to try it Davi.

Davi, don't panic when this happens.  I had it so bad during my taper that the doc thought I had diverticulitis - which I didn't.

Wishing you all quick relief with this gastro symptom.  It sucks!!

Got hit with the bad burning, intense stomach and upper right quadrant pain about 3 weeks ago.  GI going to do stomach emptying test -wondering about gastroparesis.  It sounds crazy but, I'm really hoping it's the withdrawal and not related to my pre-benzo GI issues...ugh   I've read that our GI has a lot of gaba receptors so, no wonder our stomachs can take such a hit during withdrawal.  Hang in there everyone.

Davi,

Recovery apparently isn't a straight line.  Nausea was my first symptom of benzo induced gastroparesis and was one if the first symptoms to go during withdrawal. My gastroparesis is mostly reversed, and due to a low acid diet for reflux I don't eat after 7:30'pm. So my stomach is empty in the morning. But for the last several dats, intermittently I've been waking up with nausea that seems to improve after I have a BM (hope that's not TMI). I have to assume it's post acute withdrawal related and that it will pass. Sigh, at least I hope so.
