:) Hi guys!

I'm new to this site, very glad to be a part of such a caring community. I suppose I have a few questions. So on the 20th of Dec, I began my diaz taper. I've been tapering by 1 mg a week, and am currently at 27 mg daily. The w/d hasn't been too unbearable so far, but I've noticed some annoying and slightly debilitating symptoms. When I go to bed at night, it feels as though there is an electric current running through my body. I feel like I'm full of energy and can't keep my damn legs still! I find that I have the need to keep kicking them around all over the place. When I finally do get to sleep (3-6 am), I find that when I wake up, my stomach is constantly in pain, my muscles ache, and while I'm mentally exhausted, my body is crampy and full of energy. I suppose I'm curious about a few things. Does this taper plan seem appropriate? And are there others who've experienced this morning anxiety/restlessness/awful crampiness? Are there any natural supplements I could use to remedy this? Can the extreme stomach pain be traced to wd? I used to have a beer or 2 every night since I started the taper but as of yesterday I haven't drank anything with alcohol. I've recently picked up going to the gym almost daily, running 5 miles a day, and eating tons of greens and protein, picking up new hobbies (reading philosophy, writing, etc.). I also broke up with my fairly long term gf (11 months) about a month ago, and while I'm over her emotionally, sometimes wd brings back memories of her and compounds feelings of dread. I have, however, arranged a date with someone on the 17th, and am feeling pretty confident about that! Used to smoke cannabis, but now that simply compounds my anxiety. If I have the occasional puff before bed or in the morning, my stomach pains ease up, but a majority of the symptoms are still there. I'm tired of relying on any substance to help me cope. I know this post is pretty open-ended, but has anyone else had similar experiences? Any advice?

Hey Sam, -welcome... this is all VERY normal and u will read much about it all on here...

Watch the alcohol, it wont help any!!! U will have to weigh the pot up,(lol) -between stomach help, and probably brain fog... some do use it, many dont think it has a place in benzo tapering...  exercise is great, but ur body will possibly need to pinch some energy as u get down the road... or maybe not...

As with ur taper speed,(which doesnt sound silly to me), your symptoms will be quite individual. Try not to expect the worst, and ask as u need/have... ur muscle stuff is so common, and some is reffered to as RLS - restless limb/leg syndrome... personally, it is one of my main guides as to where im at with my taper... -i have complicated stomach issues, as do others, u will find hundreds of pages about it on here...

Again, welcome!!!
