Severe head pressure - irritability - physical anxiety get worse after I take My nightly dose. When I wake up all these and other symptoms increase. Muscle tightness in My neck going down into My arms , brain and body feel like electricity is passing through My cns.

I understand WD symptoms are part of the taper but I dont know if Im dragging this taper out too long making things worse or whether I should keep making cuts. I was told slow was better as I am sensitive to these meds the clonazepam has been making Me feel ill since the first dose and even worse with every other dose and now wonder if I should have tried to get off sooner but the sxs prevented that from working. Were told that symptoms are a sign of Our GABA receptors trying to heal on the way down , I do hope that is the case .

Could someone please offer Me their opinion or advise or suggestion as I am stuck at an impasse and honestly dont know what to do at this point. Any information would be seriously appreciated.

Johnny. I feel the same way. I looked up benzo withdrawal syndrome and I have almost every symptom. I'm scared to keep cutting back but I gotta get off this crap. The last three days I have been in hell but I keep cutting. I'm not the best person to give advice but that is my thought process.

I forgot to mention one major problem and that is My major depressive illness, that is whats complicating My taper and making the WD symptoms much much worse. Insomnia is also a problem for most tapering so all these things complicate the entire situation.

Its very hard to maintain a proper serotonin level while tapering as benzos cause depression symptoms by lowering the serotonin level in the brain. Several medical people explained this to Me including a pharmacist and two docs. So the key is to try to balance the neurochemistry while tapering not easy when You have had major depression for 60 years.

Im trying to do it naturally but may have to take an AD which will only do so if I 100% have to then this is another drug I have to taper off of.

Every dose I take makes me feel "off" in some way or another. I'd CT if I thought I could but no way that's possible right now. So I'm making smaller cuts but faster because ultimately I want off this garbage. I'm getting the extreme burning back at times but learning to cope with it or simply getting used to it. Not sure. But on a good note my energy is usually better and the depression is short lived compared to higher doses. So I'm an advocate of keep cutting. Very slow or holds don't seem to work for me. But others are the opposite. I just don't want to drag this out any longer than necessary. If I hit a roadblock I'll slow down for a bit. My body is the best judge of that. B
