I don't have much support maybe its time I experience the world I guess hopefully something comes if nothing cones up I'm going to get an emotional support dog and I guess go back to the abuse

Hodge. -was that Dog or meant to be Doc (Doctor)???

-if it were Doc, great idea, -i would like 3...!!!

But if it were Dog.., not to be negative, and ur thoughts are on the right track... (something positive to focus on)..

But looking after a dog is a big/huge responsibility, and i would never recomend it to someone who isnt in a somewhat stable situation...

My two adorable apbt's take about 5k a year to look after, all told...

As harsh as it is, -it is very rare that i will sell a pup to a family that doesnt own their home... yes i have been abused for it... -no i dont care... thus i only breed one litter every 3 yrs or more... (pre sold/approved).

-I donated one to a Womens shelter last time, the feedback is most rewarding...

So Hodge, pls think it through, as situations can change at a drop of a hat... -but u could look for some work as a dog walker, and even make some extra money...

I so hope u do get settled asap, so your healing can take a big step forward... u have had a rough time of it all, from what i have seen...

Best wishes...

Keep us informed...

I agree. If you meant dog you're really not in a position to care for one. I hate to say it but until you take of yourself you can't care for a dog. They are fantastic for support but they rely on you too. Big time. If you meant doctor that's a good idea. B

Keep on educating yourself, so u will know a good Dr when u find them... -they are out there, and the more u can contribute to a Dr, -the better your outcome...

Keep stepping forward and stay positive... find that good Dr...

Thats great!!!

And he/she is helping to keep u supported, informed and relitivly comfortable as you both work towards a clear and aggreable outcome??

-sorry, -i have only seen your posts from about xmas time or so...

Hope u are getting settled now u out of that rehap situation...

I used a public drug and alcohol detox unit for my rapid or C/T off the opiates, it just wasnt right for a medical detox... so i got a bit of an idea how yuck it must have been at a rehab, though i avoided that bit...

Good to hear from u...!

I'm hoping getting out seeing the world then is better for you right now. But being kinda homeless isn't suitable for a dog. Wishing you the best Hodge. B

It can be. You have to push past that Hodge. Or go back to where you feel safe. Hodge I'm sorry. Can't help more. Maybe others can. Whatever you decide wishing you the best. B

Not sure what to do about that. I cant wear sunnies for some reason, so my next thought for u was to find a good hat u can retreat under..???

I guess healing time is the realistic solution, so keep assuring yourself that everyday is a day closer to better... and seriously, for so many, outside is a huge step over lounge or bed... though i understand this is different for each situation...

Keep going... -look back to see progress...

Idk what has happened to me I went to the rehab I found my soulmate she worked at the rehab I knew when I saw her she was my soul mate. I tried to stick around and I was failing I think she is married. I liked the town where I was at but no one would hire me I was sleeping in my car for 3 days. I came back to Sarasota I definitely don't belong here

:'( I'm sure when you get settled you wont be scared so much. As for me, I am single now and my pdoc told me not to focus on anything but my healing. I agree with that but miss having a man around the house...........but only sometimes...... ;)

Benzogirl, ur doc makes half a point... (and you make the other)..

I, myself am very reluctant to let anyone get tangled up in this... -the odds are stacked against it not working so well.. but with the right communication, honnesty and attitude, -anything is possible!!!

But i sure wouldnt rush into anything...

Time to heal and rebuild sounds about right too...

On the other hand... -the healing power of love is very strong too...
