seroquel side effects mimic benzo withdrawal??

I currently take 100 mg. seroquel before bed to help with sleep and 'racing thoughts'.  I am worried about symptoms I am having and wondering if it is just benzo withdrawal or if it is seroquel side effects.  Symptoms like...(rigid) muscles, sweating, confusion, fast or uneven heartbeats, tremors, uncontrolled muscle movements, feeling light-headed, blurred vision, increased thirst, excessive hunger, weakness.  My body feels 'heavy' in the morning and I am eating non-stop..not like me at all.  Anyone have any experience with this??  I have also called my doctor and waiting to hear back, but right now I feel like I know more than my doctors do!!

I took seroquel for two weeks after being off benzos for 23 months.  It gave me all the side effects you describe except blurry vision.  I got off!

Seroquel made me eat, so that part is likely the Seroquel. Tremors, confusion, blurred vision, etc...could easily be Seroquel but also could be benzo withdrawal. Likely both. Do you really need 100 mg to get some sleep? I only took 12-25 mg for sleep. I would get off the Seroquel if at all possible. Antipsychotics are very serious drugs and can cause permanent damage. I've had tinnitus for 5 years now thanks to Seroquel. Unlike benzo tinnitus if you get it from Seroquel apparently it doesn't go away.
