11 months out ! Is it still benzo ?

I have been holding on full of hope.  It is all vanishing letting all the room for depression.

I am exhausted.  I continued to lead a (almost) normal life : working part time, exercising, seeing friends, domestic daily routine etc.

I distracted myself to the extent where I might possibly have done too much.

I have to say that lots of symptoms have left me or have noticeably improved.  The remaining one are so debilitating : fatigue, head pressure, PAIN everywhere ( my back being the worst), tingling in my limbs, anxiety and obsessive toughts in the roof.  This feels like I had run a marathon and celebrated it with too much alcohol ! :-[

Are these symptoms really benzo related after almost a year out ?  Really ?

The overall malaise coming out of this and the resistance I put up against it create a permanent tension that subtly make all my body in a state of contracture.  It is hard to let go not knowing is this will ever get better at some point.  And when this will be ?

That be nice to hear from those who passed that.

Oooooo yeah buddy don't worry.

21 months here still in withdrawal. But it gets less and less intense. You may heal anytime after now, does not mean you will go as far as I.

Hang in there!

I couldn't help noticing that bit.

...and that bit :)

I imagine you're striving, pushing, forcing and opposing yourself a lot. If that's the case, then it's no wonder you're fatigued - anyone would be  ;)

Just a thought  :) :) :)

Hey edou...I'm at 7 months and have improved. But I'm still wondering what the hell is going on. How can this last so long. I can't remember the normal feeling I'm hanging on for.

I am at 13 months and I'm still struggling a lot with anxiety and cognitive issues. I have read extensively and it definitely can lasts for more than 1 year and typically more like 18 months to 2 years but you know we are all different, our bodies heal on a unique schedule that is specific to each of us. So you can see one person on BB who heals in less than 1 year that does not mean you will. I have been angry with myself for first of all my lack of knowing this WD exists in the first place, I started out sure I had some physical ailment, then I believed like you I would be healed already so there must be something else wrong. Just give it time and things will get better.

Thanks all for your kind replies.

Yes Fizzlewitch, you are not wrong noticing...I did not want to acnowledge that a withdrawal is demanding beyong anything and that I just have been nicer to myself.

Yesterday I saw an acupuncturist who said my CHI is void.  NO more energy.  He even suggested I stop exercising because I am draining myself even more.

Hope is not too late to get myslef back on track.

Tassie, yes 21 months is long.  Breathing exercise really helped for my abdomen ; releasing diaphragm and ribs.  We are with you and do not hesitate to share...

These guys can be helpful until they aren't!

I mean, how ridiculous is it to say the likes of that to anyone? If your "chi" was "gone", you wouldn't be able to think - never mind type a reply as you've just done.

I'd reject his rather woo-ish diagnosis, stay slow and rebuild on my own terms
