Doctor and dentist tomorrow

I'm not afraid of going to doc but afraid to go dentist . Dentist will do cleaning tomorrow so that's ok . But I think I need a filling and crown will ask what kind of medicine they put to numb my tooth I hope it's not benzo . Just scary .

Dentists are used to people being uncomfortable in their chairs. So tell them what you need—to proceed slowly, take little breaks to check in with you, practice breathing and visualization, etc.

 

Chances are you wouldn't get a more indepth procedure on the day you are diagnosed, so you have time to ask questions and write down answers.

 

I went to the dentist three times in withdrawal and did OK. It's still not a comfortable situation in the chair whereas it didn't use to phase me. But it's possible to get through the visit just fine!

Advice how to approach my doc tomorrow .nmy fiancé said not to remind my doc that I am in withdraw. I tend to tell my doctor and would say something like this " I am having chest pain and dizziness but I think they are from benzo wd. " last time I told her she said its from anxiety and offer to give Xanax or buspar. How to approach her tomorrow ?

Doctor update: I went to my family doctor complaining about symptoms of dizziness, short of breath and heart pain. She told me that these come from anxiety and I believe her but I would want referrals to cardiologist, pulmonary, and neurologist for dizziness. She also wrote me to do CT for my chest. She said she is sending me to these to reassurance , she said she doesn't think I have problems with anything it just anxiety. It makes me feel good but still I want to do a completely check out to make sure. These symptoms really scare me .  So in the new week or so I will see these specialist. Deep in my heart I know its wd but I Still scare.  Everything works out fine so I am happy. I got better in the morning but then little late in evening I got chest pals and dizziness again.

 

Dentist update: I was fine. The dentist numbed of gum and perform a built up for the crown. The dentist and the assistant was so nice , caring and awesome. They made my day. They said I was a nice and did good too! The dentist read my history and asked about benzodiapenine . I told him a little bit about it.  He said he knew a couple of people that took benzo and got off and got better. One was his uncle and his cousin. I am glad that he understands.

 

Today was a good day. I am having class tonight too, hopefully it go Ok. I will decide this week to take 1 or 2 classes ( i registered for 3, last 3 classes),

Oh my doctor gave alternative about anxiety meds again. She mentioned buspar, lexapro, ...some others  i forgot...I didn't say anything but she knew I don't want to take anything related to brain alter like benzo. I told her I am seeing a psycholgoist she said you need to see psychiatrist, psychologist don't prescribe. I was thinking "i don't want o take med why i need to see psychiatrist'. my blood pressure 113/85....

So your dentist is more benzo wise than your doctor? kinda makes sense as I have yet to meet a doctor who know what I was talking about from the get go.

When I told him I almost 7 off those meds. He congratulated me. He said his uncle was on for a long time, 60 years old , was off those the benzos for 12 months and got reinstated and he it made him worse and then he off again for 6 months, hes better. His cousin was off for 12 months and 100% normal according to him. So he has some family members went through it....thats why he understands...
