Crying spells

Does anyone have crying spells that can last for hours

Severe depression made worse by not getting my life back.

Would love to hear from anyone that has gone through this

I was on Klonopin and was having insane crying spells while on it.

My girlfriend (and eventually later ex-girlfriend) had to drag me out of many public spaces because I just broke down so bad, so visible and embarrassing.

As I go through withdrawal the crying spells get shorter and shorter.

Now my eyes will just water up and I'll almost start bawling but will be able to stop it, and I feel ok.

Your crying spells will lessen too.

Crying is super healthy and therapeutic, so don't be hard on yourself about it!

It's ok!

Thanks it's so embarrassing and tiring, I have read that

It is common with  klonipin, almost three months off stress

Seems to make it worse

I'm still getting bad crying spells and I was on Klonopin too. Sunday was a bad one. I'm finding I feel angry and overwhelmed and then come the tears and then more tears. Horrible. You're not alone.

I'm having this right now but I'm not sure it's 100% from WD. It is probably a mix of Nicotine CT, period hormones, frustration and WD. I am so mad with myself for being too exhausted to do anything. It's not helping that others think I'm either lazy, or I'm back on Benzos. I am MORE drowsy and lethargic now than I was on the damn stuff. What really sets me off is when I get asked to 'be honest' and 'own up' to having 'taken something', when in reality, I won't even let a damn Ibuprofen into my body right now. I'm not depressed, probably more angry at wanting to do so much but not being physically able to. I feel like I am missing out on so much, like life is leaving me behind.

How were you able to ct the kolonopin? I am having severe side effects on it and don't know what to do.... It is almost life threatening or feels so much like it.  This would be my second cold turkey....

What were your sxs?

We have tear ducts for a reason!  Yes, I still have pretty strong crying spells, though they are less than they were a month ago.  Feelings come pouring in, happy, sad, mad, angry...all the feelings I took ativan for that got masked by this drug.  It's good to feel tears rolling down my face now (though not so much when it lasts for hours!).  This too shall pass..... hang in there. :smitten:

I had 5 or 6 uncontrollable crying spells in the weeks after my detox. Truly agitated and panicked crying. Its a distant but terrible memory now. The depression was awful for a few months, even though I was on AD's. Your limbic system will settle down over time, but an AD may help the depression also,
