Swapping from pills to liquid microtaper - s/x even at same dose?

Recommended Posts

I have obtained liquid Clonazepam and am planning to restart a liquid microtaper.

I halted it last week after two days because I was not supplied with sufficient disposable syringes and because I had a massively demanding hospital visit today.

Anyway my question is: did anyone else get a bit of a wave when starting  a microtaper even at exactly the sane dose?

Could doing a 1 per cent cut at the same time (purely because of rounding the dose down to the nearest 0.1 mg owing to being unable to measure more accurately) be solely responsible?

How bad was your flare of benzo symptoms (if any) when switching to liquids, did it pass and after how long?

Did anyone else use liquid Clonazepam rater than ground up pills?

I tried a regular taper with compounded liquid clonazepam and it was not for me. I never felt like I had a true dosage with the liquid.  I have done my taper with pills and cutting. I am down to .03mg from 2mg and have never felt as bad as I did when I tried liquid.

This is exactly what happened to me and the reason I am in severe dire straits ... This just confirmed what happened to me and why I'm literally dying right now!!!!

I use a Walgreens pill cutter and chop up a .125 oral disintegrating dot of clonazepam into eighths, essentially.  I am now weighing on the highly unreliable Gemini scale from Amazon.

Once I realized that exact precision is not necessary for me, I have relaxed about the cutting and weighing without any obvious problems.

the exact one I use, it's amazing. Just shave off the dose you want to reduce (with a knife, just scrape it, for example) until you've made the desired cut. You can make very small reductions this way, it's great.

The 0.5 pill of clonazepam on average weighs around .170g, so you can make very very small cuts if you shave off .005 and take .165g for example.

The whole process of shaving, weighing, and taking the dose is only a few minutes, its pretty easy, especially if you're just reducing one of three daily doses. And, you stay dry with an intact pill. No liquid.

I'm not sure whether to even try liquid Clonazepam again after reading this - but I think I will give it a shot.

If it doesn't work I know from my first attempt that I canright myself pretty quickly by switching back to pills.

It's reassuring to know that tiny cuts are  achievable also with pills.

I'm glad I read this because I am getting lower in my Xanax dose and the pills are getting smaller. Also using Gemini scale from Amazon. I thought to maybe try liquid, but I probably won't now. Hoping that I can finish my taper using just dry cuts. My doctor told me that once I get down to .25 she would prescribe .25 pills which would theoretically be easier to cut because they are bigger. I cut .5 pills now, at about .4 currently

I felt the same on Valium..But now I understand why I felt so bad  I cut to many % each day 10 % of every day. Like 1 mg in 10 days. But I guess liquis is not the best for every one.

I will start in April with liquid. I had got a nice spreadsheet on internet.
