Does anyone have frequent urination but only at night? I am also noticing my urine stream seems weaker too.  Now it is 4am and I feel worried about this and I am once again down the rabbit hole of thinking I have some horrible disease.  :-\

As you probably know, anxiety causes much more frequent urination.  If you feel this is not the issue then it might be due to prostate - I see you are a man - but no idea what age you are -  as the prostate enlarges with age it gradually makes weeing slower and the stream less forceful.

I posted an almost identical question about 9 months ago. At night I would use the 4G st room about 15 times sometimes! As if it weren't hard enough to get sleep, but like the earlier reply says, it can increase with increased anxiety. Peace ( it does get better FYI)

I had doctors appointment this past Summer. I told him about the symptoms that I was experiencing while withdrawing. He was writing these things down as I spoke. Afterwards, he looked over his notes and said that all of these symptoms are classic symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety, being the most dominant symptom of withdrawal pretty much explains it all. The waking up to go to the bathroom kind of comes and goes for me now. I've had some nights where I don't get up at all. Then other nights the urge is there even after I go. I've had some urinary leaking while sleeping. It usually wakes me up before it gets to bad. I've bought some liners for when this flares up. This too seems to be improving!

Camre, I've into the same thought, the main symptom in benzo w/d is anxiety, and with that follows all the other symptoms from anxiety, to me it kind of gives a little logic. So I basically treat myself as I have anxiety and do as much as I can to solve that.

Still learning new things  :)  ....I never knew anxiety and stress could cause frequent urination at night....after reading it here I googled and read up on it.....and it's true...

I use to wake 6 or 7 times some nights with a full bladder....even when I barely drank anything....it makes sense now.....

It no longer happens, it's all normal now,  :)

I had to get up 7 or more times a night for about five months after I jumped. Now I can go all night without having to get up.

Oddly enough, it ended just around the time I stopped sweating so badly that I had to sleep on a beach towel. Both seem to be common benzo things.

I had this.  Mine started about 2 months after jumping off.  I thought I had a UTI or prostate issues.  Went to the doc and got checked for both - no problem found.

I then looked around this forum to find that *many* people were having this issue.  It cleared up for me after about 3 months.  I've had brief bouts of recurrence, but usually only lasting a week or so at a time.

I have this, especially at night.. Benzos seem to cause bladder issues in a lot of people.. For me, I don't think it has anything to do with anxiety - i think it's more like "rebound stuff" from benzos being a muscle relaxant - kind of like how my back muscles have gotten tight all of a sudden..

I had frequent urination, especially at night, right after I stopped klonopin to the point that I was getting up 10 times in one night.

Note: I did not experience anxiety as a withdrawal symptom and this was not anxiety related urination. I think benzos have such massive effects on muscles, including bladder muscles, and alter the CNS that it can produce the peeing frequently side-effect
