Clonazepam and brain fog. Feeling locked in

I was wondering if anyone could give me some hope regarding brain-fog/cognitive function. Over the last few months I have had such a difficult time communicating. It takes me forever to find the right words, my responses are slow and lack clarity. Every time I go to post here i get so frustrated, it feels like I am never able to organize my thoughts properly (I often end up erasing everything I have written before i post it). The best way to describe it is that i feel completely locked in, unable to express myself. It takes so much effort just to try and write something like this.

This is such an isolating feeling. I want to be able to connect with people but i feel miles away.

Can anyone identify with this feeling? Has it gotten better?

I know not to be afraid of getting stuck like this, and that i will likely improve, but I'm sure most people can understand how hard it is to shake that feeling of permanence that comes with WD.

Thanks :)

I definitely have this. It comes and goes. Sometimes I'm sharp as a tack, but often I struggle to get words out of my mouth. our brains are reconfiguring. Its worse if I'm stressed or have bad sleep.

Good luck. It will get better

Thanks so much for your reply. It definitely feels like my brain is re-wiring itself  and i know it will be a while until things start to level out. Even when I know it won't last, when i get stuck in my head it feeds into a panic. Just wanted to hear from someone who could relate.

Thanks for the support. Good luck to you too.

Hey Frozen, -its ok, we will read it anyway!!!

-I get it worse face to face, prob cos i cant take my time, or edit...

But my posts are still pretty clunkey most the time...

Am sure it will get better, -but is early days for benzo w/d for me... so i might get worse yet... -its a little hard to self analyse, and depends a bit on the day...

-Im sure someone will point it out if i make them lose their nuts!!! (Lol S... )....

For me, its not just benzo w/d, was same with another taper, perhaps even still partially from that...??

Dont let it get to you, -its not the true you...
